Service catalog is collection of IT services and products with multi level categorised structure and is available for users within the organisation.
It includes hardware that you can provide or even software or application that you can install for users. There can be one or more service categories under which you can add the service items and thus users can find the respective items easily on portal. The catalog allows users to log in, select the services they need, and make a request for them.
The catalog is a central repository accessible by both the IT department and the Business. The information contained within the catalog relates to all services provided by the IT department to the Business.
